“Our relations will never return to the state that was before the current development crisis,” he told reporters, RIA Novosti quoted the diplomat as saying.

At the same time, someday relations will have to be restored, “but then it will be, perhaps, more pragmatic relations, focused on a specific result, rather than loud slogans and mutual wishes,” Chizhov noted.

“I am forced to state that the level of political discussions that are taking place here, discourse, has been greatly reduced,” the permanent representative stated.
