In Halmstad, Halmstad's Local Party, which was founded after splits within the Sweden Democrats, also won two mandates.

Both of the new parties in Halmstad have attracted established and former moderate politicians before the election.

It is also the Moderates who lost the most, three seats, compared to the last election.

In Varberg, both Tjugofyrasju (24:7), which pursues classic left-wing issues such as cheap housing, and the more right-wing Varberg Party made it into the council with two mandates each.
