Dubai Digital launches a service to report minor accidents

The Dubai Digital Authority, in cooperation with Dubai Police, has announced the addition of the “Minor Accident Reporting” service to the application, within the Vehicle and Security Services Department, with the aim of continuing the development of “Dubai Now” to include all aspects and needs of people's daily lives.

The new service seeks to save customers time and effort, in the event of a minor car accident, by reporting traffic accidents through the application with ease, instead of waiting for the police to arrive at the scene of the accident or go to their stations.

Through the service, customers will be able to report minor traffic accidents, and receive the Dubai Police report by e-mail or text message, with simple, easy and quick steps, including logging in with the digital identity through the “Dubai Now” application, which will automatically determine the geographical location, then enter Details of the vehicle, its number, and the cause of the accident, along with a copy of the damage caused by the accident.

The Executive Director of the Smart Dubai Government Establishment, Matar Al Himiri, confirmed that the Dubai Now application project has made qualitative leaps since its inception in the provision of comprehensive government services and transactions under a unified umbrella, easily accessible at any time and from everywhere, making people's lives more Smoothly, and gives them exceptional daily experiences, which aligns with the objectives of the digital transformation strategy in the Emirate of Dubai, to achieve people’s happiness and raise the level of their well-being by employing advanced technology to facilitate their lives.

He announced the addition of a new service to the list of services of the “Dubai Now” application, in cooperation and partnership with Dubai Police, through the “Reporting Incidents” service, noting the role of all government agencies in expanding the scope of application services, and providing easy and quick solutions that correspond to people’s needs and meet their changes. Present and future, and for the application to become a major part of the lives of all individuals and visitors to the community of Dubai.

For his part, Director of the General Department of Artificial Intelligence in Dubai Police, Major General Khalid Al Razouki, affirmed the keenness of the Dubai Police General Command, under the directives of the Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, Lieutenant-General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, to provide its police services in various smart platforms and applications, to facilitate the access of customers to them. He stressed that the service "reporting minor traffic accidents", enables drivers to report accidents on their own, without the need for a police car, which contributes to preventing traffic jams and not wasting their time, indicating that the service is simple and easy to use, as it requires the driver to Enter the service to report minor traffic accidents, and press the "Report an accident" button, then enter the required data such as the vehicle data, the number of the drivers' licenses for both parties to the accident, photocopy of the two cars, and then wait for reports via e-mail to be sent to insurance companies.

The “Dubai Now” application provides more than 130 services for various customer segments, provided by more than 30 government and private agencies, and within 12 different categories: bills, mobile, vehicles, housing, residence, health, education, security, travel, Islam, and donations. and public services.
