Angry and condemning reactions on social media platforms.

Indian journalists and media published a video clip of the celebration of dozens of Hindus in front of the "Mahabos" mosque in the city of Kulbarga (or Gulbarga) in the state of Karnataka in southern India, as part of the Hindu "Ganesh Chaturthi" festival, which lasted for 10 days, starting from August 31.

The videos showed hundreds of celebrant Hindus gathering in front of the mosque at night and dancing to loud songs.

According to Indian journalist Muhammad Irshad, some of the lyrics say, "We will wash this land with blood, we will tell you your destiny."

"Khoon Se Iss Dharthi Ko Ham Nehlayenge, Hum Tujhko Teri Awkat Batayenge."

According to Muslim journalist Irshad, the ceremony was led by the ruling Hindu Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) official, Chandu Patil, breaking city laws by turning on loudspeakers for the celebration.

The video clip was widely circulated on social media platforms, where tweeters denounced what they described as "hate speech" against the Muslim minority, while activists demanded the city police to arrest the party's organizers, and international human rights organizations to intervene to protect Muslims.

The Indian professor on peace and conflict affairs Ashok Swain shared the video clip, and wrote, "In Karnataka, India, the Hindu right marched the Ganesh Puja festival procession to a mosque, playing loud music threatening the genocide of Muslims!"

threatening Muslims

"The right-wing Hindus have become a threat to Muslims who for decades have been insecure in India," said activist Waqas Ali. "The most painful thing is that human rights defenders, such as Human Rights Watch and the United Nations Human Rights Organization, are unable to defend minorities."

According to Pakistani journalist Omar bin Asif, the scene expresses "India under Narendra Modi".

Activist Raja Azad noted, "Violence against Muslims is politically motivated and part of the electoral strategy of Hindu nationalist political parties such as the BJP. Under the leadership of the BJP, India has become one of the most dangerous countries for Muslims."

Runner and Action

It is noteworthy that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is known for his hostility to Muslims, especially after his orders to the police not to harm Hindus during the Gujarat massacres in February 2002. He was nominated for his leadership in the 2014 elections.

Immediately after coming to power, Modi unleashed the Hindu extremists to persecute and restrict Muslims in various ways, and this was manifested in the killing of hundreds of Muslims on charges of eating or slaughtering beef, and assaulting others on charges of converting Hindus to Islam, or tempting Hindu women to marry Muslims, and opposing the veil Muslim students, banning the sale of halal meat, removing the Islamic names of cities, villages and streets, and placing Hindu names instead.

These measures also include changing school books by removing any material that praises Muslims and introducing insulting material to them, amending the Nationality Law to deprive millions of Muslims of Indian citizenship, as well as calls for the extermination of Muslims in India, demolishing their homes and shops and storming their neighborhoods.
