In the late hours of Sunday, the vote count is ticking ever closer to an election result.

According to the preliminary calculations, the Sweden Democrats now look set to become Sweden's second largest party, after the Social Democrats.

According to the first votes counted, the party has overtaken the Moderates, who appear to have lost significantly compared to the 2018 election.

Close to SVT's polling station survey

Even in SVT's polling station survey, Valu, SD was expected to claim second place in the parliamentary election, even though the gap between M and SD has narrowed somewhat.

In Valu, they got 20.5 percent, while at 11:49 p.m., they had 20.7 percent according to the vote count.

In valu, M was estimated to land at 18.8 percent against S 29.3.
