Iran has strongly criticized the joint statement of the governments of Germany, France and Britain, in which it raised doubts about Tehran's commitment to ending the years-long dispute over reviving the nuclear deal.

Yesterday, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani said: "The latest statement by European countries is unbalanced and unconstructive," adding that if the three countries continue on this path, they will be responsible for the failure of the nuclear negotiations.

The governments of Germany, France and Britain had criticized Iran in a joint statement, the day before yesterday, for its unwillingness to conclude the agreement on the table.

The three countries said that in view of this matter, they will hold consultations on how to best deal with the continuing nuclear escalation by Iran and its unwillingness to cooperate with the International Atomic Energy Agency.

It is noteworthy that the agreement that world powers reached with Iran in 2015, which aimed to prevent Iran from developing a nuclear bomb, has been frozen since the United States left it in 2018. Current talks on reviving the agreement aim to lift US sanctions on Iran and re-restrict the nuclear program Iranian.
