Below we list the top candidates from Sörmland, and those who have links to their names have participated in the Electoral Compass.

Here are the top names from Sörmland for the parliamentary elections:

  • The Social Democrats:

    The names are the same as in the 2018 election, but in reverse order.

    Former third name Fredrik Olovsson, 49, from Katrineholm, is now at the top.

    He is followed by Caroline Helmersson Olsson, 59, from Vingåker, who has represented the party in the Riksdag since 2007. The former top name in Sörmland is found in third place;

    Hans Ekström, 64, from Eskilstuna.

    All three are currently members of parliament, but Fredrik Olovsson is on leave and instead has an assignment as state secretary in the Ministry of Finance.


  • The moderates:

    The Sörmland list is topped by party leader Ulf Kristersson, 58, from Strängnäs.

    He is followed by the current Member of Parliament Ann-Sofie Lifvenhage, 46 years old, from Gnesta and the opposition councilor in Nyköping Anna af Sillén, 46 years old, who in the last election had place 7 on the party's Sörmland list.


  • The Sweden Democrats:

    The party has chosen to put party leader Jimmie Åkesson from Blekinge at the top of all county lists.

    He is, however, followed by the local names Adam Marttinen, 38 years old, from Eskilstuna and Katja Nyberg, 51 years old, from Flen.

    Both are currently members of parliament, but Katja Nyberg represents Stockholm municipality.


  • The Christian Democrats:

    The party has chosen to put top names for all of Sweden on its Sörmland list.

    But the current Sörmland Member of Parliament Pia Steensland, 50, from Strängnäs, is found in fourth place.

    The next candidate who is actually from Sörm is only found in 15th place.

    It is self-employed Tony Meshko, 44, from Eskilstuna.


  • Center Party:

    Member of Parliament Martina Johansson, 47, from Trosa has received renewed confidence as the Center Party's Sörmland top name.

    She is followed by two relatively new names;

    entrepreneur Victoria Barrsäter, 40, from Katrineholm and student William Larsson, 22, from Eskilstuna.


  • The Left Party:

    The top names are the same as during the 2018 election. At the top is current Member of Parliament Lotta Johansson Fornarve, 66, from Oxelösund.

    Second name is Maria Forsberg, 47 years old, teacher from Eskilstuna and third is Patrik Renfors, 47 years old, industrial electrician from Oxelösund.


  • The Green Party:

    Just like the last election, the party has Linus Lakso, 35 years old, from Eskilstuna and Marielle Lahti, 49 years old, from Eskilstuna at the top of its Sörmland list.

    New is the third name Karina Josevski, 51, from Nyköping.


  • The Liberals:

    New top name for the party is the writer and former war correspondent Johanne Hildebrandt, 58, from Mariefred.

    Second name is Erika Rydja Sandvik, 51 years old, high school teacher from Eskilstuna who was previously the sixth name.

    In third place is Stefan Krstic, 26, the Liberals' group leader in Eskilstuna.

    He has moved up from a twelfth place during the 2018 election.
