Politicians from many countries expressed their condolences on the death of the Queen of England.

  United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said in a statement that he was deeply saddened by the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, and he extended his sincere condolences to her bereaved family, the British government and people, and the Commonwealth of Nations.

  Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on the Queen's death: "On behalf of the people, we extend our sincere condolences to the (Royal Family), the entire UK and the Commonwealth for this irreparable loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you."

  Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted that the Queen will be remembered as a staunch supporter of our time.

"She provided inspiring leadership for her country and people."

  Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said it was with the deepest hearts that we learned of the passing of Canada's longest-reigning monarch, Queen Elizabeth II, who has been in our lives - and her service to Canadians will always be there is an important part of our nation's history.

  Australian Prime Minister Albanese said that the Australian government and people extend their deepest condolences to the members of the British Royal Family.
