The Israeli occupation army is preparing to use drones in the West Bank for the “first time,” the Israel Broadcasting Corporation announced on Wednesday.

The commission added that the army authorized its commander in the West Bank to operate an attack center belonging to the Israeli Air Force.

The center supervises the activity of the marches carrying offensive weapons.

IDF Chief of Staff Aviv Kohavi said this week that the army was ready to continue the "wavebreaker" campaign in the West Bank.

The Palestinian News Agency (Wafa) quoted the military correspondent of the Israeli Channel 11 as saying that "the army commanders have practically trained to operate the drones, and they will activate if the arrests are made, which seems difficult for the army," adding that "the sites will be bombed by drones."

In this context, "Wafa" reported on Wednesday that Younis Ghassan Tayeh, 21, was killed by a direct bullet in the heart, fired by the occupation soldiers, in addition to the arrest of 28 Palestinians during a campaign of raids in the West Bank.

A week ago, the Israeli newspaper, The Jerusalem Post, reported the return of armed struggle to the West Bank, and warned of the outbreak of a new intifada.

According to the newspaper, it does not appear that "the Palestinian Authority is capable or willing to confront the militants, who enjoy the support of the Palestinian public."

She stated that Palestinian militants - especially in the Jenin and Nablus areas - are "armed and financed by Hamas and Islamic Jihad."
