Canadian police said on September 7 that Miles Sanderson, the fugitive suspect in the serial knife attack in Saskatchewan, was arrested by police near the town of Rothern in the province at about 15:30 that day.

It is reported that the police found the traces of the suspect at large in the afternoon and issued an emergency alert, saying that a knife-wielding man appeared in a car about 90 kilometers northeast of Saskatoon, asking the public to evacuate and avoid contact with suspicious persons.
