According to his own statements, Russian anti-Kremlin opponent Alexei Navalny has been in solitary confinement in his prison camp for the fourth time in a row.

This time he had to spend 15 days in a solitary cell, the opposition politician had it spread on his Twitter channel on Wednesday.

In addition, the judiciary classified him as a repeat offender for alleged violations of the camp regulations.

This classification means that Navalny receives even less money for forced labor in the camp and is allowed to receive even fewer packages, said his spokeswoman Kira Jarmysch.

Visits from outside will also be further restricted.

Navalny wrote that a meeting with his family that had been planned for four months was delayed.

Because of alleged fraud, Navalny is in penal colony 6 in Melekhovo, about 260 kilometers northeast of Moscow - under particularly harsh prison conditions.

In May, a court upheld the nine-year prison sentence.

Internationally, he is considered a political prisoner.

Navalny had recovered from a poison attack in Germany in August 2020, but then returned to Russia voluntarily.
