“Today, we can say that Kodema has already been cleared ... This gives our allied forces [the opportunity] to develop an offensive and liberate the Artemovsk settlement from several directions,” TASS quoted him as saying.
Pushilin recalled that the Ukrainian military had been intensively defending Kodema since mid-summer, and attempts were also made to counteroffensive.
On September 7, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that as a result of a successful offensive, the Russian Armed Forces liberated Kodema from Ukrainian nationalists.
