National Police

have arrested two individuals after violently assaulting a man and spraying his face with a fire extinguisher to steal almost 6,000 euros in cash, a spokesman for the

Madrid Police Headquarters has informed Europa Press.

The events occurred on July 30 in the Madrid district of

Puente de Vallecas

, when the victim was approached by two hooded people who beat him and threw him to the ground.

Apparently, the criminals had tricked him by promising to buy a car engine through a well-known second-hand app.

Once the man arrived with the money at the place agreed to make the sale, they sprayed his face with a fire extinguisher by surprise, they stole a backpack with

cash and a gold necklace

, quickly fleeing the place aboard a vehicle.

The investigation started by the agents, they managed to identify and locate the two authors, who were finally arrested yesterday as allegedly responsible for a crime of robbery with violence, later being brought to the disposal of the judicial authority.

A RAPPER WITH 20 BACKGROUNDS

One of those arrested, according to police sources, is

Ramón Santiago J.

, a 36-year-old man who, when he was 17, raped, killed and burned alive Sandra Palo, a young woman with intellectual disabilities, a cruel murder for which he was convicted along with J

osé Ramón MM

, alias '

Ramoncín',

of the same age.

Both were sentenced to 17 years in a detention center but were released in 2012.

The other two convicted were

Francisco Javier AL

, alias

'El Malaguita'

.

When he committed the acts he was 18 years and three months old, for which he was judged as of legal age and sentenced to 64 years in prison, in which he is still serving.

Lastly, there is

Rafael GF, 'Rafita'

, 14 years old at the time of the murder.

He served four years in a juvenile center and after leaving it has committed numerous robberies and other crimes against property, for which he has been arrested several times.

The now detainee has

20 records

for crimes against property and public health after leaving the detention center.

His 19-year

-old buddy

has eight for similar acts.

Ramón Santiago has dedicated himself to rap and writes and sings songs with the nickname 'Zuni'.
