Know it right away, the story ends well.

The Loire-Atlantique firefighters had to accomplish a mission like no other on Tuesday afternoon.

Shortly before 6 p.m., they were indeed asked to help a horse in great difficulty in a pond, in Sautron, northwest of Nantes.

The animal had sunk into the body of water and, stuck, was unable to free itself, despite the attempts of its owner.

Ten firefighters and six vehicles from the departmental fire and rescue service were mobilized.

Their efforts were rewarded since the horse was able to be extracted from the mud, without injury.

However, he was exhausted.

He was taken care of by a veterinarian.
