The Bobigny Criminal Court (Seine-Saint-Denis) found a 42-year-old mathematics teacher guilty of sexual harassment on Tuesday.

The man had attacked another teacher from the Robespierre college in Épinay-sur-Seine (Seine-Saint-Denis) at the start of her career.

Six other teachers, also practicing recently, had denounced his actions, indicates

However, the prosecutor had only considered that the facts described, which occurred between 2015 and 2019, only fell within the scope of sexual harassment for two teachers.

The defendant was sentenced to a three-month suspended prison sentence as well as 1,000 euros in damages for the moral damage suffered by the victim.

During the hearing in June, the defendant had mentioned "double jokes" sometimes "inappropriate" and a "perhaps a little heavy humor" that could become "gravelly".

The victim had received emails referring to his buttocks, the rest of his body and sexual activities.
