The head of the Greek Foreign Ministry condemned the statements of the Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan about a tough response in the event that "Greek provocations" continue.

He called Erdogan's statements "unheard of" and "reprehensible."

The French Foreign Minister supported her Greek counterpart.

“France said this, and I repeat that she will be on the side of Greece and Cyprus in the event of a threat to their national sovereignty.

But if something like this happens, we signed an agreement where Article 21 describes this case, if the two sides are convinced that this has happened, then the two sides will have mutual assistance, ”RIA Novosti quotes her.

Earlier, Erdogan threatened that Greece would pay a high price for a "course of provocations."

Prior to this, the Turkish leader said that Greece challenged the North Atlantic Alliance when it pursued Turkish aircraft, while using the S-300.

In turn, the Greek Defense Ministry denied Turkey's statements that Athens allegedly used the S-300 air defense system against Turkish F-16 fighters performing a reconnaissance mission over the Aegean Sea.
