Electricity prices are skyrocketing and breaking new records again and again.

After the electricity price shock, private individuals are queuing up to install solar cells on their roofs.

At the same time, solar energy accounts for approximately one percent of electricity production in Sweden.

So what do politicians do?

Do they think more solar cells can help avert the energy crisis?

How do they want to proceed in that case?

SVT asked two representatives of the political blocs in Karlshamn, Per-Ola Mattsson (S) and Magnus Gärdebring (M), if they want to speed up the expansion, and if so how.

- We are facing an acute electricity shortage and electricity crisis.

All additional types of energy are of course very important, says Magnus Gärdebring (M).

- Regarding municipal land, we are looking at the possibilities of being able to build solar parks, but not on arable land, says Per-Ola Mattsson (S).
