“As part of the Vostok-2022 strategic command and staff exercises, as part of a coalition group of troops (forces), more than 2,000 military personnel of military contingents of foreign states perform joint actions within the framework of the exercises,” RIA Novosti reported.

The military of Azerbaijan, Algeria, Armenia, Belarus, India, Kyrgyzstan, China, Mongolia, Tajikistan and Russia are participating in the exercises. 

It is noted that additional task forces of the defense departments of Kazakhstan, Syria, Myanmar, Laos and Nicaragua are involved in the exercises.

Earlier, the Vostok-2022 strategic exercises started in the Primorsky Territory.

In total, over 50 thousand military personnel and more than 5 thousand units of weapons and military equipment will be involved in them.

The maneuvers will take place from 1 to 7 September at seven air defense ranges, as well as in the waters of the Sea of ​​Okhotsk and the Sea of ​​Japan.

Russian President Vladimir Putin flew to Vladivostok on Monday, September 5.

He is expected to observe the Vostok-2022 military exercises and take part in the Eastern Economic Forum.
