In Nice, the first afternoon of retransmission of the lawsuit of the attack of July 14, which opened Monday in Paris, was marked by an incident.
A journalist was placed in police custody for having recorded part of the debates,
the public prosecutor of Nice told
20 Minutes , confirming information from BFM Nice Côte d'Azur.
Xavier Bonhomme specifies that it is a “sound recording”.
The police custody was "being lifted" this Tuesday afternoon, the magistrate further indicates, and the journalist should receive a "summons before a delegate of the prosecutor for a reminder of the law".
The latter provides that "the use of any device for recording, fixing or transmitting speech or images is prohibited", under penalty of two months' imprisonment and a fine of 4,500 euros.
The special assize court of Paris must judge until mid-December eight people, members of the entourage of the terrorist Mohamed Lahouaiej-Bouhlel, accused for some of being intermediaries in the traffic of weapons which were to him destinies.
The entire proceedings are broadcast live at the Acropolis Palace in Nice, in a room open only to civil parties and in another accessible to the public and the accredited press.
