Late Monday evening, a large force of the Israeli occupation army stormed the city of Jenin in the northern West Bank, but it was not immediately clear what the purpose of this incursion was.

Al-Jazeera correspondent reported that dozens of Israeli occupation army vehicles penetrated Jenin and surrounded a building and detained a number of residents.

While eyewitnesses told Anadolu Agency that the occupation army is conducting a military operation in the eastern neighborhood of the city, which continues until midnight.

It was not immediately known more details or the purpose of this new intrusion.

For several months, the occupation army has continued to carry out operations and incursions in the northern West Bank, concentrated in the cities of Nablus and Jenin, under the pretext of pursuing wanted persons.
