“We will definitely appeal the verdict, moreover, we have no illusions, in this regard, we already have a complaint in our hands, we are ready to file it right now,” he said.
On September 5, the Moscow City Court sentenced Safronov to 22 years in a strict regime colony in the case of treason.
He was also sentenced to a fine of 500 thousand rubles and two years of restriction of freedom after serving his sentence.
Safronov was detained in July 2020.
