The rampant electricity price has led to many, especially villa owners, wanting to invest in a solar cell installation to reduce their electricity costs.

The company Wettersol in Habo has since its inception four years ago gone from three employees to over 40, but they would need to be even more.

- I would like to help everyone who gets in touch, but unfortunately it doesn't work as it is now.

Right now, the company's customers have to wait between 6-9 months before their facility is installed and ready.

One explanation for the long waiting times is the lack of experienced electricians with the right training.

Another is the shortage of solar panels as demand is high globally.

That shortage has also led to the prices of solar panels skyrocketing in the past six months.

Want to see a strong increase in solar

The Center Party's climate policy spokesperson, Rickard Nordin, visited Wettersol in Habo on Monday morning.

The party wants to increase solar production in the country fifteenfold in the coming term, something that Wettersol CEO Magnus Juvén believes is a very optimistic goal given the current market situation.

However, Rickard Nordin believes that it may be possible if large solar parks are built in the country.

- We also want those who do not have access to their own roof, those who live in apartments, to be able to become co-owners in solar power.

For example, they could buy a share of a farmer's roof and put up solar cells there.

In the clip, you will find out the reason behind the price increases and what the centre's climate policy spokesperson wants to do to increase the pace of expansion.
