According to reports, 14 people were killed in Shimian County, Ya'an City, affected by the Luding earthquake with a magnitude of 6.8, and some towns were affected to varying degrees.

National Highway 108 and Provincial Highway 217 were interrupted, and roads in Wanggangping Town, Caoke Township and Xinmin Township of Shimian County were interrupted.

  After the earthquake, Ya'an City quickly launched the second-level emergency response to the earthquake disaster, and established the Ya'an "9.5" Luding Earthquake Relief Headquarters.

According to the relevant situation of the disaster, the Ya'an Earthquake Relief Headquarters decided to upgrade the earthquake disaster emergency response level to Level 1 in accordance with the relevant provisions of the "Ya'an Earthquake Emergency Response Plan".

At the same time, in accordance with the provisions of the "Ya'an City Natural Disaster Relief Emergency Plan", Ya'an City's first-level natural disaster relief emergency response was launched.

  In addition, Ya'an City dispatched more than 2,100 rescue forces including emergency rescue, armed police, firefighting, medical care, and public security to rush to the earthquake-stricken area to carry out personnel search and rescue, wounded treatment, road rescue, and mass transfer and resettlement.
