The clip shows Saudi citizens lining up in front of Sheikh Ikrima, and they greeted him with poems welcoming him and praising his role in serving Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Palestinian and Saudi tweets and accounts circulated the video widely on the communication platforms, praising the great reception of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque preacher.
Tweeters considered the reception an expression of the authenticity of the Saudi people. An account called “Saudis with Al-Aqsa” said: “Our brothers from Mecca welcome the preacher of Al-Aqsa Mosque, Sheikh Ikrimah Sabri, during his visit to Makkah Al-Mukarramah. This is the true face of the sons of the Kingdom who support Palestine, Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa.”

The visit of the preacher of Al-Aqsa Mosque to Saudi Arabia comes on a tour outside the Palestinian territories, months after he was prevented by the occupation.
During the visit, Sabri praised the role of King Abdullah II of Jordan in protecting Islamic and Christian holy sites in occupied Jerusalem.
The preacher of Al-Aqsa warned against the ongoing excavations under and around the Blessed Mosque, pointing out that the Israelis' conduct of these excavations is a desire for any earthquake to lead to the collapse of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Sheikh Ikrima Sabri is the preacher of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the head of the Supreme Islamic Council in Jerusalem since 1994. He was known for his participation in many activities and events against the Judaization of Jerusalem. He has been repeatedly criticized, harassed, interrogated and arrested by the Israeli occupation authorities.
The Israeli occupation authorities have previously prevented Sheikh Sabri from traveling more than once in the past years, and have also prevented him for months from entering the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
