A Palestinian youth was martyred, and another was wounded today by the occupation army’s bullets in the town of Qabatiya, south of Jenin in the West Bank. The occupation forces arrested 15 Palestinians after storming a number of areas in the West Bank, after two attacks targeting settlers and soldiers in the Jordan Valley and near Ramallah.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health said in a statement that Taher Muhammad Zakarneh, 19, died of Israeli gunfire in his town of Qabatiya, after being shot in the head and right foot, and a bullet in the left thigh.

The Palestinian Prisoners Club said that the occupation wounded a young man during the storming of Qabatiya, and arrested 3 others. A total of 17 people were arrested in the West Bank last night and at dawn today. The arrests were concentrated in other areas such as Ramallah, Al-Bireh, Nablus and Hebron.

The Israeli forces took the detainees to interrogation centers on charges of resisting the occupation.

Jordan Valley attack

Since yesterday, the occupation forces have been searching and combing the area of the city of Tubas in the northern Jordan Valley (east of the West Bank) in search of a third suspect, accused of participating in yesterday’s shooting attack on a bus in the area, injuring 5 soldiers and the bus driver, one of whom was seriously injured.

Yesterday, after the attack in the Jordan Valley, Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid said that the army and the Internal Intelligence Service (Shin Bet) have been working during the past few weeks throughout the West Bank, specifically the Jenin and Nablus areas, with the aim of "preventing terrorist operations inside Israel."

Zionist Channel 13: The occupation army admitted today that what the West Bank is witnessing is an intifada of another kind based on launching shooting operations carried out by young people without organizational affiliation.

According to the data of the occupation army, since the beginning of 2022, 150 attacks have been carried out, compared to 91 in 2021.

In Israel, they point to the role of the decline in the authority's security cooperation.

Four Israeli soldiers were slightly injured when a homemade bomb exploded yesterday from a Palestinian car near the entrance to the village of Nabi Saleh, west of Ramallah, according to Palestinian sources.

These sources added that the occupation forces closed the entrance to the village and prevented Palestinian vehicles from entering and leaving. They also sent security reinforcements to the place and began search and search operations.

In occupied Jerusalem, the Israeli Magistrate's Court is holding a session this morning to consider charges brought by the occupation police against Palestinian journalist Lama Ghosheh.

The occupation police arrested Lama yesterday from her parents' home in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, adjacent to the Temple Mount, and extended her detention pending investigation until today, on charges of "incitement and supporting a terrorist organization."
