The Meteorological Administration reported that an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.8 occurred in an area 221 km southwest of Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China, at about 1:52 pm on the 5th (local time) today (5th), citing foreign observation agencies.
The epicenter is 29.59 degrees north latitude and 102.08 degrees east longitude, and the depth of the earthquake is 16 km.
