Verona beats Sampdoria in comeback at the end of a challenge full of emotions and reversals in front of them and puts their first victory of the season in their pockets.

It ends 2-1 at Bentegodi thanks to Audero's own goal (in any case the best of the guests) and Doig's goal that overturns Caputo's momentary advantage.

Thanks to this success, Cioffi's team rises to 5 points in the standings, while Giampaolo's team remains in third from last position at 2.

The two teams spend much of the first part of the game studying each other, creating few noteworthy opportunities within a balanced match.

In the final half, at 40 'Ciccio Caputo thinks to break the balance with a splendid lightning-fast left-handed turn, which leaves no chance for Montipò for the Sampdoria advantage.

The match is released and before the break even the comeback from Verona arrives: at 45 'it is an own goal by Audero to restore balance, after a header by Henry rejected from the crossbar and carambulated on the goalkeeper.

Only four minutes pass and Verona even doubles, with the ball served in depth for Lasagna which in the end favors the conclusion of Doig, lucid to bag the ball with the door unguarded.

In the second half, Verona continues on the wings of enthusiasm and scares Sampdoria on at least three other occasions with Doig and Lazovic, rejected by an attentive Audero who keeps his team alive.

In the final he continues to attack Cioffi's team with his head down, but Veloso and again Lazovic find the Sampdoria goalkeeper's gloves on their way, once again providential in granting a minimum of hope to Doria.

In the recovery it is Caputo who has the possible ball of the host equalizer on the right, but his attempt goes out on the outside of the net.
