This was announced by the press secretary of the German government, Steffen Hebestreit.

“During the talks, which lasted just under an hour, the Chancellor and the Prime Minister of Ukraine exchanged views on the military, humanitarian and economic situation in Ukraine,” RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

According to Hebeshtreit, Scholz noted that Germany would not refuse to support Kyiv not only in the military, but also in the political, as well as in the financial and humanitarian spheres.

On September 4, a demonstration was held in the center of German Cologne in support of Russia and against the supply of weapons to Ukraine.
