The owners of the national dress customization workshops decided to offer discounts on their prices for students of the second and third cycles, in line with the decision of the Emirates Foundation for School Education to provide the option of wearing the national dress for boys in the second and third cycles.

The owners of the concerns confirmed to "Emirates Today" that the step came to alleviate the burdens of the students' families, after monitoring complaints for them through social media about the high prices of "kanadirs", while the students' families valued these initiatives, stressing that they are an example of societal cohesion.

In detail, the Foundation specified for students of the second cycle, boys, to wear the “Kandora” as an optional school uniform, which they can use in addition to the current approved school uniform, while the Foundation specified “Kandora with Al-Hamdaniya” for students of the third cycle for boys in addition to the approved school uniform, and students can use the two options starting from the week next.

The owner of a tailoring workshop for the national dress, Ali Al Falasi, told "Emirates Today": "Once the decision of the Emirates Foundation for School Education was issued, I read people's comments and complaints about prices, in addition to the fact that customizing (the kanadir) is expensive, so I said: Why don't we offer discounts to people?"

Al-Falasi continued: "I immediately designed an advertisement and put it on social media."

He pointed out that the design of the "Kandora" differs slightly between the second and third episodes, and depends mainly on the length.

For his part, Ahmed Saud said that he works in a workshop for the manufacture of national dress, and after the decision of the Emirates Foundation for School Education was issued, the operator took a decision to offer discounted prices on the "kanadir", at a price of 95 dirhams for the third episode and 87 dirhams for the second episode, after it was 150 for the third. and 120 per second.

He stressed that this came in support of the sons of the country, and a sense of responsibility towards them to relieve them of the high prices during the recent period, and the inability of some to detail the "kanadir" because of their prices, especially those who have more than one child in school.

In turn, citizens praised the initiatives put forward to reduce the prices of tailoring the national dress through social media, stressing that they represent a patriotic feeling on the part of some, and an example of societal cohesion.

Abu Nasser said, "The initiative by some of the owners of the concerns makes them an example for the benevolent merchants who have good in their homeland and their families."

Khaled Al Ali said that he "will visit the owners of the workshops who offer discounts, to support them, and detail (Kanadir) for his children and for him personally, hoping that the rest of the workshop owners will take such important national initiatives."

Fida Muhammad said, "Such models are a good example of societal cohesion and merchants who love their homeland," while Salem Al-Jabri said that "these models should be emulated."
