Disconnection of the Zaporizhia nuclear plant from the main power line

The International Atomic Energy Agency announced today, Saturday, that the Zaporizhia nuclear plant in Ukraine has been disconnected from the last line that was still connecting it to the Ukrainian electrical network, and is now dependent on the backup line.

The agency said in a statement that "the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant once again lost contact with the last external electric line that was still connecting it to the grid, but the facility continues to supply the grid with electricity via a backup line, according to what the International Atomic Energy Agency informed from the site today."
