In this speech, he attacked those who would have the inclination of a coup, while rumors to this effect circulate regularly.

General Évariste Ndayishimiye violently attacked those who believe themselves to be “all-powerful”, when they owe everything – wealth, power – to the state.

For many Burundian Internet users, this is a very clear allusion to his Prime Minister Alain-Guillaume Bunyoni, a general like him, his companion in the fight during the years of civil war in Burundi, often presented as one of his competitors.

There will be no more war, God is witness to that.

The president complained on several occasions of being "

 alone

", and of his collaborators who do not help him or sabotage his action for the development of Burundi.

Two days ago, a Burundian newspaper headlined: “

Act Mr. President!
