US extends trade restrictions against Cuba for a year

According to RIA Novosti, the American leader argued his decision with the national interests of the United States.

Restrictions will be valid until September 14, 2023.

Biden also extended powers that give him a free hand in the context of this embargo and the issuance of permits for individual transactions.

Earlier, the United States imposed visa sanctions against 28 Cuban officials whom Washington believes were involved in the suppression of unrest in the country last July.

Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla said the new US sanctions are an attempt to discredit public resistance to Washington's aggression.
