The price of gas has reached unprecedented heights in recent months, mainly due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
Electricity prices have risen at an equally rapid pace and now a series of proposals are being put forward in the EU to moderate the price collapse.
One of the proposals involves separating the price of gas from the price of other types of energy.
