Head of state receives message from Narendra Modi

Yesterday, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, received a written message from the Prime Minister of the Republic of India, Narendra Modi, related to strengthening the comprehensive strategic relations between the two countries, and the possibilities of developing them to serve their common interests.

This came when His Highness received, yesterday, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the friendly Republic of India, Dr. Subramnyam Jay Shankar, who is visiting the UAE to attend the meetings of the 14th session of the UAE-India Joint Committee and the third session of the strategic dialogue between the two countries.

At the beginning of the meeting, which took place at the Beach Palace, Shankar conveyed Narendra Modi's greetings to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and his wishes for His Highness, the UAE and its people continued progress and development.

For his part, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of India, conveyed his greetings to Narendra Modi, wishing India and its people further progress and prosperity.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed various aspects of bilateral relations and the importance of joint action to enhance and advance them within the framework of the comprehensive strategic partnership and the comprehensive economic partnership between the two friendly countries, in addition to a number of regional and international issues of common concern.

The meeting was attended by H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor for Special Affairs at the Presidential Court, and Reem bint Ibrahim, Minister of State for International Cooperation. Al-Hashemi, and the diplomatic advisor to the President of the State, Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash.

The meeting was also attended by the delegation accompanying the Minister of External Affairs of India.

The UAE and India are strengthening their strategic relations.
