Bloomberg: Broadcasting ban in the EU and blocking of social networks did not prevent the "prosperity" of RT

RT has become a key component in the Kremlin's strategy to ease the impact of sanctions by strengthening friendly ties in Africa, Asia and Latin America.

The authors of the material admit that RT has achieved “greatest success” in Latin America.

“It is not surprising, because in many countries here they have long been suspicious of the United States,” the article emphasizes.

They noted that RT Spanish's Facebook* page has about 17 million subscribers, more than double the number of the channel's English version.

“A particularly large number of subscribers are in Argentina, Mexico and Venezuela,” the authors of the material added.

On March 11, the YouTube administration restricted access to all RT and RTD channels.

On March 2, the European Union banned the broadcasting of the RT channel and the work of the Sputnik agency in the community.

RT Editor-in-Chief Margarita Simonyan said that the EU decision to ban the TV channel in the EU shows what the vaunted European democracy is worth.
