A forty-year-old was indicted on Wednesday evening for arson in the south of the Landes, we learned Thursday from the Dax prosecutor's office.
This suspect, arrested by the Dax gendarmerie company, would be responsible for several "arson attacks" in recent months in the south of the Landes, on the border with the Pyrénées-Atlantiques, according to the gendarmerie.
He partially admitted the facts and was placed under judicial supervision, according to the prosecution.
He was indicted for "destruction by fire of wood, forests, moors, maquis or plantations of others that could cause damage to people" as well as for "destruction of the property of others by a means dangerous for people".
