WHO: The number of cases of monkeypox in the world exceeded 50 thousand

As RIA Novosti clarifies with reference to these organizations, 50,496 cases of monkeypox have been identified in the world.

Most cases were recorded in Europe, as well as in North and South America: with 22,576 and 27,228 cases, respectively.

Earlier, authorities in the US state of Texas reported the first human death in the United States with monkeypox.
