According to him, the West is increasing illegal pressure on Russia and other countries and thus undermines all the foundations of the world order, based on the principles of globalization, which were promoted by the Western countries themselves.
Lavrov noted that open markets, freedom of enterprise, fair competition, and the presumption of innocence were canceled overnight.
“We will respond harshly, but not to our own detriment,” TASS quoted him as saying.
Lavrov also announced Russia's plans to expand its diplomatic presence in the CIS.
