In the DRC, tension persists in the territory of Kwamouth the day after the visit of Deputy Prime Minister for the Interior Daniel Aselo.

Two national deputies from the province of Mai Ndombe expressed their concerns Tuesday in Kinshasa during a press conference.

According to Sacred Union MP Guy Mosomo, the clashes between Teke and Yaka communities cannot be reduced to a dispute over customary dues.

Yumbi was in December 2018. Clashes between the Batende and Banunu communities had killed more than 500 people and destroyed many villages.
