The presidential office said it was difficult to confirm some media reports that a police officer who was investigating the case related to President Yoon's wife attended the inauguration ceremony.

An official from the presidential office said at a briefing yesterday (31st), "We do not have a list of invitees for the (inauguration) ceremony, and it is difficult to confirm whether the police officer was invited to attend."

Previously, the News Bus reported that the president's inauguration ceremony was held on May 10 by Inspector A, a member of the Gyeonggi Southern Police Agency's Anti-Corruption and Economic Investigation Unit, who was in charge of the investigation into allegations of preferential treatment for the development of the Gongheung district in Yangpyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do, involving President Yoon's mother-in-law Choi, his eldest sons, brother-in-law, and Kim Kun-hee. It was reported that he was invited to attend.
