It is with great joy and gratitude that we inform everyone that Sister Suellen Tennysson has been released by her captors

,” announced Théophile Naré, Bishop of the Diocese of Kaya.

According to the bishop, the ex-hostage is currently in a safe place and enjoys good health.

For the time being, we have no information on the conditions of his release

 ", specifies the bishop in his press release.

The dignitary expresses in any case his gratitude to all those who worked to obtain the release of the nun, five months after her abduction a hundred kilometers from Kaya. 

Aged 83, Sister Suellen Tennysson had been serving in Yalgo since October 2014. She was the manager of a local health center.

She had been abducted and taken to an unknown destination by her captors on the night of April 4 to 5.
