“The President and Prime Minister welcomed the return of security to the streets (in Iraq) and called on all Iraqi leaders to engage in a nationwide dialogue to find a common solution in accordance with the Constitution and the laws of the country.
Finally, the President offered his full support to Prime Minister al-Kazimi's efforts to de-escalate tensions in the region through dialogue and diplomacy.
The report also says that the leaders of the two countries agreed to maintain close contact on the situation in the region in the next few days.
Earlier, the Prime Minister of Iraq, in a televised address to the nation, said that he would resign if the situation in the country deteriorated.
