The Emirates Foundation for School Education provided the option to wear the national dress for boys in the second and third cycles (starting from the fifth grade), in line with the survey and the desire of parents and the Foundation's keenness to communicate closely with them to move forward in supporting the educational system.

In detail, the Foundation has specified for students of the second cycle, boys, to wear (Kandora) as an optional school uniform that they can use in addition to the current approved school uniform, while the Foundation has specified (Kandora with Al-Hamdaniya) for students of the third cycle, boys, in addition to the approved school uniform, and students can use the two options starting next week. .

Sarah bint Youssef Al Amiri, Minister of State for Public Education and Advanced Technology, and Chairperson of the Emirates School Education Foundation, stressed that “the leadership’s directives always emphasize the importance of consolidating national values ​​in the educational field, and strengthening the partnership process with parents as they are one of the pillars of the educational process and partners in responsibility. To graduate an Emirati generation capable of keeping pace with global changes around it, and adhering to its national identity and the values ​​and spirit of the authentic Emirati society.”

The Foundation also announced that the national dress will be mandatory starting from the next academic year for citizen students in government schools in the second and third cycles. By adding the national dress as one of the options in the school uniform for national students.

The Foundation also renewed its commitment to involve representatives from schools and the educational field, in addition to a group of Emirati designers to design and choose school uniforms in the future, believing in the importance of unifying efforts and visions regarding students and the various details of the educational process.
