The first investigations into the origin of the disturbances and incidents last Sunday at the Alcalá festivities point to

the Latin gang of the Trinitarians,

very present in the Henares corridor.

The Police are investigating whether these gang members are behind the attack against other members of a rival gang of the DDP that occurred at the fairgrounds, and a robbery that occurred in the area of the booths when they snatched a mobile phone from a young woman.

Both events unleashed screams, races and the subsequent eviction of the premises.

The Trinitarios who caused the incidents are suspected to belong to the choirs of Cuatro Caminos, Torrejón and Guadalajara.

The group of Latino gangs of the Information Brigade of the Superior Police Headquarters of Madrid is already investigating

the altercations that resulted in numerous damages, four police officers injured,

a detainee of South American origin and several identified.

The mayor of Alcalá de Henares, the socialist Javier Rodríguez Palacios,

blamed the incidents on a "group of organized vandals" from other places, who wanted to "bust" the town's festivities.

According to the alderman, that same Saturday night the National Police and the Municipal Police established several preventive controls at the Renfe Cercanías station where searches were carried out that allowed the agents to seize knives.

At that point, members of the Trinitarios gang with police records for fights and robberies were also identified.

In the fairgrounds, the Police arranged for plainclothes agents to avoid possible robberies and incidents.

In addition

, there were 11 video surveillance cameras to control the more than 10,000 people who gathered in the area.

fights between gang members

The clashes began around 3:30, when a group of young people attempted a robbery outside one of the booths.

Minutes later, a young woman's mobile was snatched, which caused the first races and the first alarm among the agents when they saw the commotion that had formed.

Moments later, in the heart of the fairgrounds, the most massive fight of the night took place and the one that sparked panic among the hundreds of people in the area.

Several members of the Trinitarios beat up a young man from the rival DDP gang.

" There

were about 20 of them and they started kicking two boys and doing the

Trinis

salute, " commented a young man who witnessed this fight.

“The police arrived very quickly and with batons.

People began to run very nervous saying that there had been stab wounds between Latino gangs and that they were stealing, “added another partygoer.

This brawl caused several avalanches and

forced the Police to vacate the fairgrounds due to the insecurity problems that were arising,

according to police sources.

Subsequently, groups of young people gathered around the fairgrounds and in the Plaza de la Juventud de Alcalá, where fights and attempted robberies were reported again.

The National Police tried to break up these concentrations and it was then that they began

throwing objects at the agents

, who charged on several occasions and used riot gear.

The youths tore up cobblestones from the sidewalks, burned containers, broke banks and made barricades during the altercations.

The Alcalá City Council did not confirm yesterday that the trigger for the incidents was the fight between members of Latin gangs.

"

The cameras and the identifications that were made will allow the Police to investigate what happened beyond the only detainee

," said the mayor, who added that "the agents dedicated themselves to serving and protecting the residents of Alcalá, avoiding greater evils than in other times we have suffered».

For her part, the Government delegate in Madrid, Mercedes González, praised the “impeccable” eviction from the fairgrounds carried out by the Police and assured that the people who went to “sabotage” the festivities of this municipality.

González insisted that

many hoaxes were spread because there was talk of shots that never occurred, as well as white weapons that were never present.

“What occurred was an altercation in the wee hours of the morning.

The rocks themselves warned of a series of brawls and clashes, "González settled.
