The Vostok-2022 exercises will be held from 1 to 7 September at the training grounds of the Eastern Military District, as well as in the waters and coastal zones of the Sea of Okhotsk and the Sea of Japan.
In total, more than 50,000 military personnel will take part in the exercises.
Russian Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin noted that the Vostok-2022 exercises are not directed against specific countries or military alliances.
