In the fields of measures to counter the declining birthrate and child-rearing support, we are requesting 1,496.1 billion yen as a budget related to the Children's and Family Affairs Agency, which will be established in April next year as the "control tower for child policy."


Every year, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, which requests the most amount, requests 33,264.4 billion yen, which exceeds the initial budget for this fiscal year by more than 600 billion yen, based on the increase in social security costs accompanying the aging population.



On the other hand, the requested amount of "national debt service" to be allocated for the redemption and interest payment of national bonds will be 26.9886 trillion yen, more than 2.6493 trillion yen more than the initial budget for this fiscal year, reflecting the increase in national debt.


The total amount of requests from ministries and agencies is expected to reach 110 trillion yen for the second consecutive year, following last year's 111 trillion yen.



In this budget request, in addition to defense, in areas considered to be important policies such as GX = Green Transformation, which leads to decarbonization, "item requests" that do not indicate the amount at the request stage are allowed. is expected to increase further.
