The minister said that about 60% of the population spends two thirds of their income on paying for electricity and gas.

According to him, this category of citizens will be included in the category of recipients of maximum compensation.

“Another 15% will receive increased compensation and, accordingly, only 1% of the population can afford to pay the full cost of gas and electricity,” RIA Novosti quotes him.

Earlier, Gazprom allowed Moldovagaz to postpone until September 1 the advance payment for gas supplies in August.

The chairman of the Moldovan opposition party Shor, Ilan Shor, announced his readiness to go to Moscow to discuss the issue of gas supplies from Russia to Moldova.
