  • Diana Spencer was born in Sandringham, in the east of England, on July 1, 1961.

  • 20 years later, on July 29, 1981, she married Prince Charles, heir son to the English crown, and became the Princess of Wales.

  • On June 21, 1982, she gave birth to William.

  • On September 15, 1984, a second child with the first name Harry was born.

  • In 1987, in London, Princess Lady Diana inaugurated the country's first medical center dedicated to AIDS patients.

    On April 9, she voluntarily shakes the hand of a patient with the virus in front of the media.

    A photo will make the headlines the next day, and the princess will face the reproaches of the royal family for her lack of decorum on this very sensitive subject at the time.

  • Rumors of difficulties in her marriage to Prince Charles appear in the early 1990s. On December 9, 1992, she separated from Prince Charles.
