Ruiz (26) is the fifth summer recruit for the French champions after Portuguese midfielders Vitinha and Renato Sanches, young French striker Hugo Ekitike (20) and French defender Nordi Mukiele.

A very technical player with a high volume of play, Fabian Ruiz, from the top of his 89 meter, will provide Parisian coach Christophe Galtier with an additional option in the heart of the game, where Paris has slimmed down a lot.

Paris has ceded Dutchman Georginio Wijnaldum (AS Roma), Spaniard Ander Herrera (Athletic Bilbao) and Eric Junior Dina Ebimbe (Frankfurt) on loan this summer, while the departure of Argentinian Leandro Paredes to Juventus Turin is imminent and that the Senegalese Idrissa Gueye is also very close to making a return to Everton.

Capable of positioning himself just in front of the defense or in a more advanced position, Ruiz won the Italian Cup in 2020 and was an essential pawn of the Neapolitan eleven for four seasons.

European hopefuls champion with Spain in 2019 and named best player of the tournament, the midfielder trained at Betis Seville has since become a regular at La Roja, participating in the Euro two years later, concluded in the semi-finals.
