The annex to the regulation of “golden residency” permits, in the Cabinet’s decision on the executive regulations regarding the entry and residence of foreigners, to be implemented next month, identified five categories of humanitarian pioneers, who can obtain a “golden residency” permit, who have prominent and tangible contributions to this. The field from inside and outside the country, based on a recommendation from the Ministry of Community Development, in coordination with the competent federal and local government agencies.
These categories include: members of international and regional organizations or their employees, members or employees of civil associations and institutions of public interest, recipients of appreciation awards in the field of humanitarian work, and distinguished volunteers, who financially support humanitarian work.

The appendix also sets out the controls for granting a “golden residency” to workers in the first line of defense, as it was mentioned that the Federal Authority for Identity, Nationality, Customs and Port Security may grant a “golden residency” permit to those who have exceptional efforts in protecting the UAE society in addressing crises, on the recommendation of the concerned government agencies.
